Q: What grade do I recieve for ETC695?

A: Our grades are based on our TS portfolio point percentage.  If you review ETC695 TS, the last column should show you what percentage you earn.  We will finalize our final grade later since we have some classmates are still finishing up their portfolio.

Q: Any technical issues that I should be aware of?

A: Generally, audio, video, and slides may generate some technical issues.  If you have two computers, you can use both computers to log on Elluminate presentation rooms to test your presentations, such audio setting, showing video clips, and presenting slides etc.  You can use the second computer to observe your presentations to see whether it works as you want.

Q: Can I participate in classmates' Elluminate presentations?

A: You need to ask the classmates for the permission.  In general, the Elluminate presentations are reserved for the presenters and the faculty reviewers only.

Q: Can I update/resubmit my submitted TS portfolio documents?

A: Yes, you may.  Contact me at chih.tu@nau.edu & let me know what section & which documents that you would like to take back to update & resubmit to TS.  As long as the documents are graded yet.

Project Progress

Our entire portfolio was due this coming Sunday, April 3, 2011.  A few students indicate they need more time, after consulting with the faculty reviewers, with their permission, our April 3 deadline has been extended to April 10, 2011, Sunday.  We must complete Section I, II, III, & IV.  Our presentation schedule remains the same.

Here are a few resources to help you to complete your project & to prepare your project presentations.

If there is anything that I can help you, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Q: What should I do if I am disconnected from Elluminate?

A: Don't be panic!  Please manage to return the Elluminate room and continue the presentation.  If the capstone instructor is disconnected from Elluminate, please do not stop and continue your presentation.  The instructor will manage to return to your presentation room.  If the instructor couldn't return to your room before you complete your presentation.  Wait for the instructor for at least five minutes.  If the instructor do not return the room within 5 minutes, please conclude your presentation and stop recording.  The instructor will e-mail you the questions.  The responses can be done via e-mail.

Q: Will the faculty reviewers visit my project website?

A: Generally not.  It means our presentation must be able to show the important parts of our project, such as integrated technology, instructional strategies, and assessments etc.  The faculty reviewers mainly will watch your Elluminate recording to evaluate your project.

Q: Do I need to present my assessment statistical analysis and results?

A: Yes, you should so the reviewers have clear ideas what your project results were.

Q: Do you need to show my actual project or project website?

A: Probably yes.  It would help the reviewers to understand your project.

Q: What do I need to submit for Capstone Portfolio Archive?

A: If you have materials, data, information etc. that don’t fit in any TS section but you would like to share with the faculty reviewers, you can submit them to archive.  Or something that you would like to include them as part of your portfolio.

Q: Should I have my literature review approved first then submit it?

A: No. The faculty reviewers have given us a go.  They will review our final draft only.
